Personal best times were smashed in near-perfect running conditions with the winter sun warming the runners from the start and the bracing coastal winds for the most part staying away.
The race is one of the more popular in the national running calendar and it was a sell-out for this year’s event through the city of Brighton and Hove - the 25th anniversary of the race.
