It took Rustington just three minutes to take the lead. Dave Oakes' deep cross was missed by the returning James Highton, but the ball hit Sean Duffy's shoulder and flew past Newhaven keeper Danny Breach.

Hide AdDuffy was causing Newhaven all sorts of problems and got his second just eight minutes later. Adam Bibb threaded a delightful through ball and Duffy coolly shot across Breach to double his sides lead.
