Ashley Hunter put Pagham into the lead at Hassocks but a goal in each half from the side sent the Lions home pointless.
In division two, Midhurst survived two fightbacks by basement side Pease Pottage to record a much-needed 3-2 win at Rotherfield. Ryan Seacombe twice put them into the lead only for Pottage to level, but Gary Norgate struck what proved to be the winner.
Sidlesham took the leaf but lost 4-2 at Seaford.

Hide AdBosham are still without a home win this year after going down 2-1 to Bexhill. Rowland cancelled out the visitors' half-time lead at Walton Lane but Bexhill netted a winner with seven minutes left.
