Herbert races into championship lead at Brands Hatch
Qualifying went well and he qualified second on the grid for the first race ahead of his closest rival Chrissy Palmer from West Marden.
Race one was wet but Herbert made a good start, leading the race by the first corner. He kept his head down and out of trouble to take a lights-to-flag victory.

Two laps later Herbert and Jordan Stilp aquaplaned at Graham Hill and ended up on the grass. The red flag was brought out and a full re-start ordered, meaning Herbert started from pole again.
The race was shortened to seven laps and Herbert led to take another victory from Stilp and Palmer.
Race three was a reverse-grid and Herbert started ninth. Herbert didn’t make the best start but was up to sixth by the Graham Hill Bend.
