Evans moved into the top 25 courtesy of a third round 71. He made two birdies and eight pars in the first 10 holes, and although three bogeys followed in the next four, Evans finished with two birdies in the last four.
Scoring improved on the final day and Evans began well with two birdies in his first four holes. Two more gains followed at the 10th and 11th before a solitary bogey at the 14th meant he signed for a 69 and just missed out on a top 10 finish.
Evans, of Rye and Sedlescombe Golf Clubs, has made the cut in his last seven tournaments on the European Tour and second tier European Challenge Tour, achieving four top 15 finishes along the way.
