It has also been a thrilling few days for Roffey, they thrashed Ferring 10-3 on Saturday as Devon Fender netted a staggering six goals.
Harri Nourse was also on target, before debutant Patrick O’Sullivan came off the bench to net a 15-minute hat-trick.
Julian Miller’s side then followed that up with a 5-1 win in their derby clash against AFC Roffey Club on Tuesday night. Fender again notched a hat-trick along with goals from Nourse and Ben Chowney to see them up to second, a point ahead of Hurst, but level on 49 with new third-place side AFC Varndeanians.
