Manton and Lansdale the heroes in thrilling FA Trophy clash
Rebels beat Southern League Premier Division side Bashley 4-2 after extra-time in a replay, after the sides had drawn 2-2 on Saturday.
The replay – Rebels’ eighth successive cup game – had it all. Six goals, two penalties, three red cards (all for Bashley in extra-time) and seven bookings but it was Rebels who banked the £2,200 prize money and they will now host Didcot Town in the next round on November 5.

Manton put in a real captain’s performance as he first drew them level on 68 minutes, and when Bashley scored again with three minutes left, Manton against struck to send the game to extra-time.
The added period had another hero as Lansdale struck twice, the first from the penalty spot, to send Rebels through.
Manton said: “It’s a really good result. We felt after Saturday that we had a good chance to get through.
