EP exit FA Vase to St Andrews

EAST Preston Football Club exited the FA Vase at the fifth-round stage when they lost 2-1 to St Andrews this afternoon.
The game was played at Worthing’s Woodside Road ground after The Lashmar pitch failed a morning pitch inspection.
Leon Doughty gave St Andrews a 13th-minute lead but East Preston levelled through a deflected Darren Boswell free kick six minutes before half-time.

Hide AdEP’s Joe Shelley had a penalty saved on 53 minutes and St Andrews then went back ahead through left-back Mitch Warner’s 25-yarder.
St Andrews had Doughty sent off for a second booking with six minutes left but they held on to progress into the quarter-finals.
