Eastbourne Borough players get high praise - but boss can't look too far ahead
Wins in the past week over high-flying Hungerford and leaders Dartford have left the Sports just five points off top spot in National South.
They’re only 11 points off their initial 40-point ‘staying up’ target – with 23 games to go.

Clubs in the south, north and premier divisions are in the middle of a vote to decide whether to play or on stop amid a government funding row.
Bloor said the league situation was for others at the club to deal with – while he was just happy to have some action, and in particular three Borough wins in a row, to talk about.
“If you look at our past three games, we’ve taken nine points out of nine against three of the best sides in the league,” he told the Herald.

“Now we are only thinking about our next game, at home to Concord Rangers on Saturday.
“The circumstances we’re working in make it difficult to look too far ahead.
“We’ve picked up a lot of injuries and Tuesday night (at Dartford) took a lot out of us, but we’ll assess the troops and be ready for the next one.”

Hide AdBorough’s position in the play-off places may surprise some National South observers but Bloor said: “We have a good, honest group of human beings – a hard-working group. So you never know what can happen.
“We’ve had some really good days. We’ve had the odd bad result but we don’t go overboard about those.
“Since the start of this most unique time of our lives, we’ve been engaging with fans as much as we can and have been heartened at how many have been watching the games on our stream.
“We continue to look forward to the day when we can play in front of them again. That will be emotional.
“I like to think in the meantime we’ve brought back a lot of what Eastborough Borough Football Club is all about.”
