Crawley Town v Grimsby Town preview: Will Max Watters return to starting line-up?
and live on Freeview channel 276
Crawley’s defeat against Carlisle was the first time they’ve lost by more than two goals under John Yems.
It’s one of the first times that Crawley have been dominated since Yems came in and it was a poor showing, which is extremely unlike the Reds side we have been used to seeing since Yems came in.

However, Crawley have the perfect chance to put it right against a Grimsby side that also suffered a big defeat at the weekend.
The Mariners were thumped 5-0 at Tranmere Rovers, a side who were defeated by Crawley 4-0 not too long ago. It was a result that slumped Grimsby to 20th position in League Two, with just 12 points to their name after 11 games played.
Ian Holloway’s men have struggled to pick up points and score goals this season, with just nine goals to their name all season and one goal in their last four league games. No Grimsby player has managed over two league goals this season, however if they were watching the Crawley defence at the weekend they would be hopeful that they can manage to breach the Crawley defence.

Hide AdIt’s a Crawley defence that will need some reinforcements with potentially no available right backs, with Geroge Francomb out injured, David Sesay suspended and Archie Davies having to go off injured at half time against Carlisle. John Yems will have to find someone to fill in at right back, with no obvious right back available for selection.
This may not be the only change for Crawley, after a very poor showing at the weekend there could be a few changes to the Crawley lineup. One of these will most likely be top scorer Max Watters returning to the starting eleven, after he started on the bench on Saturday.
Despite Saturday’s defeat Crawley only sit two points off the play-offs and are still in close contention with the teams around the promotion places and a win would spring them back up the table.
Another positive for Crawley fans is that this might be the last home game they have to stay at home and watched.
