Baker hails Golds' display as sub Shaun seals victory

Charles struck ten minutes after being introduced as Golds took all three points in the Southern Combination League Premier Division encounter.
Having not kept a clean sheet in ten league matches, Littlehampton have now had two shut-outs in their past three games.

Hide AdGolds boss Ady Baker felt it was his side’s best display of the season and said: “It could have been more convincing but I’d take a 1-0 win over Eastbourne Town all day long.
“We’re starting to get reward for our performances and produce it over 90 minutes now.”
After coming on with an hour gone, Charles got the only goal 16 minutes from time to hand Golds all three points. Ben Gray went close late on as Littlehampton could have added a second.
Golds travel to Crawley Down on Saturday, then host local rivals Wick on Tuesday.
