Appleton said: ‘It’s great to get our first win on the board.
‘We don’t practice penalties but the guys finished theirs really well.
‘Bournemouth will be disappointed they didn’t take their chances.
‘Then again, we played 10 times better than that against them on the opening day of the season and had a draw.’
