Competitors slip slide away at track

THE rain held off at Angmering on Sunday but drivers still had their work cut out to keep to their racing lines and avoid hitting the safety fence.

The track was very slick from previous rainfall and the inevitable grease and oil from previous racing.

With such tricky conditions several cars took unplanned exits from the track as spin- outs and shunts into the fence were the order of the day.
