At the Hilton Hotel in Southampton, 12-year-old Connor Dart had his first contest, a no-decision skills bout in which there is no winner or loser and both boys’ arms are raised as winners.
Dart boxed well for all three rounds, moving well around the ring, throwing straight left and right crosses and at times, counter-punching off his back leg and then going forward throwing left and right crosses. It was a great start to his fledgling boxing career.

At the end of the contest it was no surprise when Rowles’ arm was raised as the winner on a unanimous decision.
