Barry wins 15th town title
The Hollington Table Tennis Club talent won the 2014 competition by overcoming Rob Warner 11-5, 10-12, 11-9, 11-3 in the final.
Barry also got the better of Warner in the men’s doubles decider. Barry and Nathan Darby outgunned Warner and Lewis Mayhew 12-10, 7-11, 11-9, 11-5.

Hide AdBarry’s clubmate Rose Rainton enjoyed similar success in the women’s events. Rainton won the women’s singles - which was played as a round-robin -
beating runner-up Stacey Furnival 11-7, 7-11, 11-9, 12-10 in the decisive contest.
Rainton and Furnival joined forces to capture the women’s doubles, defeating Sheila King and Pam Winter 9-11, 11-6, 11-7 in a straight final.
Mayhew and King triumphed in the mixed doubles, which took the form of a four-team round-robin. They saw off runners-up Robin Gibbs and Rainton 11-9, 11-6, 11-9 in the key game.

Hide AdMick Hart defeated Keith Lindsay 10-12, 11-6, 11-7, 11-3 in the consolation singles final, while Adam Keen sunk Danny Rickaby 11-1, 11-3, 12-10 to win the division two singles.
The closest final came in the division three singles where Peter Wilson edged out Ryan Heselden 5-11, 12-10, 12-10, 3-11, 11-5. The trophies were presented by Hastings & District Table Tennis Association president Andy Furnival.
The annual event at Hollington Community Centre attracted entries from 43 men - an increase on last year - and four women, with 18 players contesting the division two singles.
