Police are now looking for the man who may have sustained facial injuries following the altercation in Den Avenue, Bognor Regis, shortly after 9am on Thursday, November 26.
A police spokesman said the suspect made off towards Hotham Park, having stolen a Sat Nav, two iPad minis, an Xbox limited edition console with controller, Turtle Beach ear force headset, £40 cash – and a red Nike rucksack to put the goods in.

“I think it was a combination of shock, adrenaline and fury, but as he barged past me I punched him in the face as hard as I could, breaking my fingers.
“He ran out of my house towards Hotham Park, in full view of a bus driver at Den Avenue bus stop and passing cars.
“My young son has been traumatised by this whole incident, as have I.

“He was olive skinned, with black wavy hair, black stubble and was unkempt and dirty.
“On the plus side, a friend has replaced my son’s Xbox, and Turtle Beach has kindly offered to replace his headset.
“A £250 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of the stolen goods.”

Mr Hennessey said: “We wanted to spread a bit of Christmas spirit and replace the headset.
“We heard about the unfortunate incident and thought no gamer should be without their headset for Christmas – hopefully it will bring spot of Christmas cheer to Jane’s son.”
Police said the suspect was spotted moments earlier attempting to gain entry to the rear of another house in the same road, ‘with a jacket in one hand and a hammer in the other’, before running back towards Den Avenue after being disturbed.
