Woman jailed for fraud against charity
A woman has been jailed for two years after admitting fraud and money laundering to the value of £115,000 in relation to the will of a pensioner who wished the funds to go St Michael’s Hospice.
Andrea Garrick, 54, of Main Road, Icklesham, appeared before Lewes Crown Court today.
She obtained the funds by virtue of her position as sole executor of Nola Harmer, 70, from Pevensey

Hide AdIt is alleged that Garrick diverted the money, left to St Michael’s in Mrs Harmer’s will, to her own benefit.
DC Dave Elcock said: “Andrea Garrick has been jailed for two years and the sum she stole will be sought under the Proceeds of Crime Act at a hearing in the new year.”
