Volunteers to clean rubbish at beach
Members of the Friends of Pagham Harbour will take part in the Marine Conservation Society’s Beach Watch 2013 on Sunday, September 22.
Anyone interested in helping the operation is invited to join the volunteers at 9.30am at the visitor centre on Selsey Road in Sidlesham.

Hide AdFrom this point, the volunteers will head to Church Norton car park by 10am, where space is limited, at the end of Rectory Lane off the B2145.
This will be the 20th beach clean by the Friends of Pagham Harbour.
Last time the group cleaned the stretch of beach, 285kg of rubbish was collected.
Volunteers from the RSPB, the Friends of Pagham Harbour and members of the public will all take part.
Refreshments will be provided.

Hide AdOrganisers said volunteers should ensure that they are wearing suitable boots, gloves and clothing appropriate to weather on the day.
Volunteers should also be fit and able to do a fair bit of walking across the open shingle.
Bags, litter picks and gloves will be provided.
Organisers added if the weather on the morning of the clean-up was bad, for example with heavy, continuous rain, then the event could be cancelled at short notice.
