Video: New state-of-the-art theatres unveiled at hospital
The new facilities mark the completion of the first phase of a £14.5 million project at the hospital which is run by Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
The four theatres, which will be open for the first operations on Monday, also promise a much better pre and post-operative experience for patients at the hospital.

Hide AdConsultant Neil Smith said: “Our surgeons are really looking forward to working in the theatres.
“They are some of the first in the country to have an ultra-clean air ventilation system and this has been shown to have real benefits for patients as it lowers the risk of surgical site infections.”
The Trust received a grant from the Department of Health to go towards carrying out the work and funded some of it itself.
The second phase, which entails refurbishing the 30-year-old theatres to the same standard, will start in January.
