Video: Man saved by lifeboat crew after jumping from Palace Pier
Lifeboat volunteers in Brighton rescued a man who had jumped from the Palace Pier, and was '˜clinging' onto a life ring in the sea below.
Arriving on scene, a lifeboat spokesman said the man was quickly located and although conscious in the water it became clear he was ‘beginning to tire’.

The man was suffering from hypothermia, according to the RNLI spokeman, and the crew warmed him up with blankets on the lifeboat.
When arriving back at Brighton Marina, where the local RNLI is based, the man was handed over to paramedics and then taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital for further medical assistance.
