UPDATE: Fire brigade thanked by grateful housing association after Selsey caravan fire

A fire broke out in a caravan parked in the Affinity Sutton retirement flats’ car park, in East Beach Road, around 10.30pm.
“We can confirm that fortunately residents at the Rookery are unharmed by the fire which occurred in the car park last night,” said a spokeswoman from Affinity Sutton.

Hide Ad“We would like to thank the fire brigade for its swift assistance and are currently working with the relevant agencies to identify the cause.”
The fire service said this morning (October 13) that the fire started accidentally. Some residents did have to be evacuated from the flats as the fire was near the building. Crews from Chichester and Selsey attended the scene.
