UPDATE: Driver arrested after serious crash near Heathfield

Emergency services are currently at the scene of the accident on the A267 at Little London. The accident took place just before 9am.
On arrival, police officers discovered a commercial pick-up truck had hit a tree and one person appeared to be trapped in the vehicle.

Hide AdPolice say the passenger – a man in his 20s – has been airlifted to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious injuries.
The driver – a man believed to be in his 40s – sustained minor injuries. He has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in police custody at this stage.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and diversion signs are in place while the investigation continues.
