Two more schools won't boycott SATS
St Peter and St Paul School in Buckhurst Road, and St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School in Hastings Road, both contacted the Observer to say their year six 10 and 11-year-olds will sit the tests next week.
Christopher Miles, chairman of the governors at St Peter and St Paul's School, said: "If a significant number of schools boycott the tests the comparative data published later on may be skewed.

Hide Ad"However, the externally moderated results will still be useful to the school in our own moderation and assessments and will be reported to parents in the usual way."
Nationally, some schools have stepped back from boycotting Sats for fear of compromising their Ofsted inspections.
