Tribute paid at Wings and Wheels to former test pilots
The two men played a major part in the aerodrome's long history and the annual two-day show gave them a fitting salute.
Duncan Simpson joined Hawker in 1954 and became the company's Chief Test Pilot in 1970.

The two days of Wings and Wheels couldn't have been more contrasting, with blue skies and warm sunshine on Saturday, and heavy rain from early on today.
While the Sunday programme was hard hit by the strong winds and very wet conditions, Saturday saw a packed timetable go according to plan.

Hide AdThis was the 14th show and was supporting the fundraising efforts of Brooklands Museum Trust and Help for Heroes.
The five-hour air display included new acts such as the Fireflies Aerobatic team and the Bronco Demo Team as well firm favourites such as the Red Arrows and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
The wheels section also a wide variety of exhibits, with cars and motorbikes of all shapes and age powering down the circuit.
Today the Red Arrows, MiG-15, Vampire and Sally B were forced to cancel and the afternoon motoring session was pulled due to safety concerns as the rain poured down.
