UPDATE: Police confirm Sussex man killed after head struck on Gatwick Express train
British Transport Police revealed today (Monday August 8) that he was from East Grinstead, in West Sussex.
The 24-year-old was pronounced dead at Wandsworth Common Station, in south London, after suffering a “serious head injury” on a Gatwick Express train service yesterday evening, British Transport Police said.

Hide AdA spokesperson said: “A man who died at Wandsworth station yesterday has been identified as a 24-year-old man from East Grinstead in Sussex.
“His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
“The man sustained serious head injuries on board a Gatwick Express train travelling to Victoria from Gatwick at around 5.30pm.
“Ambulance crews attended the scene but despite their best efforts, he sadly died a short time later.”
Officers said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
