UPDATE: Man resuscitated but in ‘life-threatening’ condition after collapse in Storrington
A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said CPR was carried out at the scene of the incident, but the man remained in a ‘life-threatening’ condition as he was taken to hospital.
Sussex Air Ambulance landed in a field in the village, and two ambulances and three paramedic cars were also called to the incident in the Monastery Lane area, at about 12.50pm.

Hide AdThe spokesperson said the man was unconscious when a doctor at the scene began performing CPR.
On arrival, paramedics joined the doctor, and the team was able to resuscitate the man.
The man was in a serious condition and may have suffered a head injury, the spokesperson added.
The air ambulance flew him to St George’s Hospital in London.
Reports suggest that roads may have been closed while emergency services attended to the man.
