Major disruption on Hastings to London services after train hits tree

Southeastern said the incident, which happened on Monday morning (December 7), has resulted in the line towards Charing Cross being blocked.
Attempts to move the damaged train have been unsuccessful, according to Southeastern, so a replacement train is expected to pull alongside it to rescue passengers on board.

Hide AdThe damaged train is the 7.50 service from Hastings to Charing Cross.
Southeastern said replacement buses have been ordered to Tunbridge Wells and Hastings.
Tickets will also be accepted on the high speed service between Ashford and St Pancras.
Southern is accepting tickets between Hastings and Ashford, and Govia Thameslink Railway is accepting tickets between St Pancras and London Bridge.
