Angmering teen arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving
Officers were called at 3.35am to the scene of a crash at the junction of Madeira Drive and Duke’s Mound, Brighton.
A Mini driven by the 19-year-old Angmering man, and a Renault Clio, driven by a 23-year-old Crawley man, had collided, causing the Renault to overturn.

Hide AdA 21-year-old woman who had been a passenger in the Renault was trapped under the vehicle and had to be freed by firefighters.
Both she and the Renault driver were taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, and detained for treatment.
The woman suffered serious injuries, though police said they are not considered to be life-threatening.
The driver received minor injuries.
Both drivers were arrested – the Angmering man on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and the Renault driver on suspicion of being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle

Hide AdPolice are appealing for witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have seen either of the cars being driven prior to the crash, to contact them.
