Tesco temporarily closes after bird crashes into window

The store, in Chapel Road, was temporarily closed at around 12.15pm today as police and the fire brigade worked to make a broken window on the second floor of the building safe.
It is believed the window was smashed after a bird flew into it.

She said: “The birds have been going in and out of the property for weeks. I was across the street when it happened. The bird got away safely.”
No one was hurt and the emergency services left the scene around 12.30pm.
Tesco is open as usual.
