The young people were split into groups of seven and spent 20 minutes at each of the six workshops, which focused on sustainability issues like transport, biodiversity, water and energy, health and well-being among others.
They then later prepared a five-minute presentation on a particular sustainability issue to demonstrate what they had learned.
Delegates finished by making pledges concerning something they would like to do in relation to sustainability.

This is a fantastic event as it not only gives the young councillors the chance to meet students from other schools, but is a chance for them to have their voices heard and opinions respected.”
