People can now sign up on the Rother District Council website for My Alerts, a weekly email service which includes updates tailored to their property and the surrounding local area.
Updates include reminders of bin collection dates, details of planning applications and information on local events.

Hide AdRecipients receive one email a week, while the system also allows people to be contacted if there is urgent information to be communicated.
Malcolm Johnston, district council executive director of resources, said: “There is a wealth of information available on our website but signing up to My Alerts is a great way for people to ensure they’re kept up-to-date with the latest news and information.
“Residents who sign up will receive one handy, weekly email containing any information relevant to them about what’s happening in their area.”
Anyone who is not signed up who would like to receive the service can sign up online at www.rother.gov.uk/MyAlerts.
