Rustington Scout group leaders change roles
Anne Lecuyer, who had led the Kingfisher Cubs as Akela for more than 30 years, has retired from that role. She will instead take on the responsibility of Group Scout Leader (GSL).
Trevor Harvey, the retiring GSL, has accepted the invitation to become president of 1st Rustington Scout Group, to the delight of all members, who look forward to his help and guidance for many years to come.

Past and present members of Kingfisher Cub Pack gathered at the Scout hall, in Church Road, Rustington, to mark Mrs Lecuyer’s retirement.
She handed the reins over to Erica Mills, formerly Assistant Cub Scout Leader.
Assistant Cub Scout Leader Greg Metcalfe said: “Anne received many tributes from former Cubs and fellow Scouters. A fine display of photographs lined the walls of the hall, evoking memories of summer camps, gang shows and a vast assortment of activities which Anne had introduced to generations of Cub Scouts.
