Refuse truck on fire in Brighton
The truck was ablaze on Bear Road, Brighton, which has been sealed off while the incident is dealt with.
Just before 11am, Brighton and Hove City Council said: “One of our @RecyclingRefuse trucks has caught fire on Bear Road. The fire brigade have been called and will be on the scene soon.”

Hide AdEast Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 10.39am Brighton firefighters were called to attend a lorry fire on Bear Road, Brighton.”
Two crews were on the scene battling the blaze.
A council spokesperson said: “A fire started in the recycling compartment of one of our bin lorries as it travelled on Bear Road on Thursday morning.
“The fire service was called and the fire extinguished. At this point we’re investigating what happened, but we can rule out any mechanical fault.
“All the crew are safe and unharmed, but it may mean some delays to collections around the Woodingdean and Saltdean areas.”
