The plan will help to shape the town’s future until 2028 by establishing general planning policies for where developments should go and what they should look like.
Rye Town Council is holding two events to learn more about the plan and lodge any views about it.

The second will be in St Mary’s Centre, Lion Street, on Saturday, January 23.
Mayor Bernadine Fiddimore said: “ These public events are key parts of the democratic process and will be valuable opportunities for the community to make their views known.”
A steering group has been working since mid-2013 on the plan and is nearly complete.

Vice-chairman of the steering group Anthony Kimber said: “The neighbourhood plan will be a key planning document for the future.
“Once agreed by the community at Referendum, Rye will have a strategic plan to map out its future.”
