Preparing jam sandwiches for World Sight Day
Adur East Lions and 4SIGHT aimed to raise awareness through different activities and continue fundraising with cake stalls and other items for sale.
Tim Loughton, MP for East Worthing and Shoreham opened the proceedings by being the first to attempt to make a jam sandwich blindfolded.

The Lions support a number of organisations that either try to prevent blindness or support those who are blind or partially sighted.
Projects across the UK include providing funding to Moorfields Hospital and collecting used spectacles from opticians with the money raised being given back to sight charities.
During the event last Saturday, visitors had the chance to buy cakes, plants, bric-à-brac, Christmas gifts, tea and coffee.

People were also able to meet a guide dog for the blind and its owner.
4SIGHT (West Sussex Association for the Blind) provides services for blind and visually impaired people, their carers and supporters across the county.
They work where health and social services do not always reach, aiming to combat social isolation, encourage confidence and independence when at home.
All the profit made from the event on Saturday will be donated to 4SIGHT.
