Microbiz, which is organised by Horsham District Council and held in March at the Drill Hall in Denne Road, has been scrapped.
The council claimed the one-day event will be replaced by an ‘ongoing programme of more tailored specific events’, after receiving feedback from participants.

Aimed at small businesses and start-ups, Microbiz offered business seminars and networking opportunities to support entrepreneurs.
A Horsham District Council spokesperson said: “Our successful one day business networking event Microbiz has been running for 13 years.
“The cost of staging all of these events has been met fully by sponsorship and exhibitors.

“Acting on this initial feedback, the council is now looking to create an ongoing programme of more tailored specific events to run throughout the course of the year rather than just focussing on one major one day event.
“In order to help shape these events the council’s economic development team are conducting surveys amongst local businesses to establish their needs.”
