Sainsbury’s is recycling Royal British Legion poppies until Sunday (November 24) at its Bannister Way, Haywards Heath, store.
All poppies put in a recycling box at the Customer Service desk will be sent to the RBL to be re-used or recycled.
Sainsbury’s says it is the first store to provide the service and five million recycled poppies could save the RBL up to £100,000.
Store Manager Tim Maginnis said: “We wanted to show our customers that they can make their poppy go further and enable the Legion to save.”
