Pop superstar Charli XCX set to play Brighton gig
Having written some of the catchiest and biggest-selling hits of the last year, Charli will unleash her energetic, raw and yet incredibly catchy tunes when she hits the stage at Concorde 2 on March 24.
The 22-year-old’s sound has evolved since she co-wrote I Love It, a global smash for Icona Pop, and released her major label debut True Romance in 2013. The dark and stormy feel of that critically-acclaimed album was followed by the punchier Sucker the following year.

Hide AdSucker, which features collaborations with the likes of Steve Mac, Stargate and Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, contains the punk-inspired Break the Rules and the monstrously catchy top-ten single Boom Clap.
Recalling the huge success of the latter, Charli said: “It felt like after that song’s success people cared more than they had before and that was nice because it’s taken a long time.
“What’s funny is that I also feel like by that point when that was all happening, I didn’t really care so much about it happening. I felt more relaxed, focusing on the album and experimenting with harder sounds.”
In between working on albums, Charli co-wrote US number one ‘Fancy’ with Iggy Azalea which has sold more than five million copies worldwide.
This is the perfect chance to see a global superstar before she moves on to her own headline arena tours.
