Worthing council assets declared surplus to requirements
Further decision would be made on either a sale of the assets for a capital receipt or they would be retained for wider non-service led activities such as redevelopment for investment or other alternative uses.
The decision to declare the buildings and land surplus to requirements has been made under the 2018 asset management policy, which includes the aim of identifying opportunities to rationalise assets and dispose or redevelop those no longer required for operational purposes.

Hide AdServices at The Pines Day Centre in Faraday Close, Durrington, are set to be relocated with similar plans in train for the Coastal Enterprises Day Centre, in Brougham Road, East Worthing.
Meanwhile the Footprints Children and Family Centre, in Crescent Road, Worthing, is also set to close when services are relocated to the new community hub at Worthing Library.
A two-storey detached brick building in Worthing’s Richmond Road was used as a pupil referral unit and then let to a dance school.
It is due to act as a temporary library and then would be declared surplus to requirements.
