Fresh bid to build block of flats in Eastbourne town centre
Eastbourne Borough Council’s plans to build a total of 19 flats, including eight affordable homes, were put forward to the planning committee.
The council plans to build over their brownfield site in Southfields Road, which is currently being used as a council-run pay and display car park.

“The site is well positioned in close proximity to the town centre, transport links and employment.
“The design of the building on site is appropriate for the surrounding context responding to the character of the local area.”
An initial proposal was submitted for the site in July 2019 but was withdrawn.
