Former Horsham MP to quit top minister post

Conservative peer Lord Maude will stand down after less than a year in the job, according to the Financial Times.
He told the national newspaper he plans to step down ‘pretty soon’.

Hide AdHe said: “I said I would do the diagnosis and the prescription piece of the job. It feels like this was the right break point.”
He said he would return to the private sector and do ‘a bit of not-for-profit’.
