Police response to Findon traveller issue concerns councillors
Arun District Councillor Peter Jones submitted a list of questions to Chief Inspector Pip Taylor focusing on the policing of the travellers, particularly, who instructed the police officers concerned to escort the travellers to Nepcote Green?
He said: “The police are denying things happened when we have got dozens of people who saw what was happening, it doesn’t make sense.

“Vehicles were used to smash down the perimeter fence of the green when two officers were present.
“This has happened for the last two years, the cost to the village is substantial. We want assurances this isn’t going to happen again.”
Peter Goldsworthy, chairman of Findon Parish Council, has also expressed his disappointment at the response to the questions.
