Police call street meeting after hammer attack
Inspector James Scott said: "At the street meeting in St Leonards Road on Monday April 12 at 6.30pm, we are inviting all residents, business people, shop workers or anyone connected to St Leonards Road to come along and meet us.
"We will target the problems being highlighted to us."
The street meeting will involve representatives from different agencies and areas, including licensing and anti-social behaviour, the Safer Rother Partnership and Rother District Council.

It will have a direct link into the local policing team purely for St Leonards Road."
Inspector Scott added that he didn't believe local people should feel afraid but admitted there was "a high level" of antisocial behaviour recently in that area.
He stressed that the incident on Tuesday was a targeted attack and not random violence on a member of the public. The street meeting will be on the corner with Eversley Road.
