PICTURE GALLERY: Chichester’s Italy Star parade
The Italy Star Association honours and remembers those who fought in the second world war Italian campaign from 1943 to 1945.
Each year, members of the association unite for a weekend, staying in Bracklesham and coming to Chichester on the Sunday for a service at Chichester Cathedral.

“They weren’t too hot and the service was beautiful.”
This was the first time the annual service was led by Chichester dean Stephen Waine. Former dean Nicholas Frayling returned especially for the service.
“It went off very well,” said Mary. “Obviously a smaller contingent of veterans this year but nonetheless it was very poignant and everybody loved it.”
She thanked the people of Chichester for their support, saying it helped spur the veterans on.
