Peter’s coming home - new butchers opens in The Orchards, Haywards Heath
Peter Bradley started butchering at the tender age of six at his father’s shop in Brighton.
More than half a century later, at the age of 63, he is opening a new butchers in Haywards Heath today.

Hide AdP&P Family Butchers will champion Sussex lamb and pork, and British beef, as well as a selection cheeses and delicatessen products.
The Orchards is familiar territory for him as he previously worked for anther butchers in the shopping centre, and more recently managed a fruit and veg store on the parade.
“I was semi-retired for two years, “ Peter told the Middy, “but then I got bored - so I am going back to butchery which is what I know best.”
He has taken on a trainee butcher, Joe Illingsworth, and the shop will create another couple of jobs on the delicatessen.

Hide Ad“We hope people will come and support us, and we want to give a good service.
“We aim to give quality meat, at a fair price.”
The new shop officially opens at 12.30 today, and thereafter will sell its produce six days a week.
