Mary-Ann said: “He was a large man in spirit as well as body and he loved Bognor Regis.
“He was the most generous and kind man you could ever wish to meet. He would give up his time for anybody — he was caring with a very big heart.”
Mark opened his first electrical shop when he was just 19 and was based outside the old railway station on the corner of Linden Road.

Mark was also a member of Bognor Regis Round Table and was a member of the Bognor Regis Illuminations committee before he and Mary-Ann got together in 1994.
Mark died from a tumour which was found by doctors after he started feeling a pain in his pelvis.
Years before, while Mark was working on some lights on the high street, he was knocked from his cherry-picker and fell to the floor.

She said he had struggled with the pain from then on.
He had an operation in October last year to try and ease the pain when surgeons came across the cancerous lump.
A funeral service will be held at Worthing Crematorium, Kingswood Chapel, on Friday, February 7, at 1pm.
His loved ones have asked only for family flowers but said, if desired, donations can be made to St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
