Hide AdArthur Guppy said: “It’s over nine months since I first reported it to the county council’s highways agency and still nothing has been done.
“I’ve been on and one at them to repaint the white lines because it’s dangerous.
“I was told last year it was a priority and would be done in a few weeks, but that was months ago.
“There’s 270 homes in Mill Farm and most people living there are elderly and scared to cross. The cars speed through the crossing without paying any attention anyway.”

He said: “We pay our road taxes but because we’re a little village in the sticks we’re just getting forgotten.

Fellow resident Fay Rideout said the crossing was well used by families. She said a husband and wife who were crossing narrowly escaped being struck by a car which didn’t stop.
