Despite breaking her spine in a cycling accident in 2015, leaving her without the use of her legs, Yapton mum Amanda Worne has been raising money this year for children’s disability charity PACSO.
Amanda’s final challenge on Sunday, May 16, is a 24-hour wheelchair marathon – to see just how far she can go.

Amanda’s training has been going well, with miles clocked up campaigning for a seat on West Sussex County Council.
She would welcome support in Hotham Park and later on Marina Drive for the challenge.
So far this year, Amanda has raised more than £1,000 towards supporting children and young people with a disability in Arun and Chichester.

Hide AdPACSO (Parents and Carers Support Organisation) has provided help and encouragement to families in the Chichester and Arun districts who have a child or young person with special educational needs or disabilities since 1999.
PACSO provides a wide range of play and social activities for children with additional needs and their siblings, and offers much needed respite for their parents/carers.
Amanda knows what it is like to face challenges, and has enjoyed meeting the children PACSO supports.
“PACSO brings children out of their shells and gets them to try new things,” she said.
