Date set for funeral of brave Hastings boy Denny

The funeral of a seven-year-old Hastings boy, who died following a four-and-a-half year battle with leukaemia, will be held next Monday (October 5).

Denny Nassy died in hospital on September 7.

The service will be at Hastings Crematorium at 2.15pm on Monday.

A funeral procession will take place along Queen’s Road, then go along the seafront towards the Old Town from around 1.10pm.

It will then stop at The Bourne for a short while before heading towards the crematorium on The Ridge.

Denny’s family said seven doves will be released at the crematorium before the youngster’s funeral starts at 2.30pm.

On the family’s Team Denny Facebook page, a statement said: “Only 30 people are able to come inside, however people are welcome to line the streets or wait near the crematorium.
