The public are being asked to give their feedback on the changes proposed for Eastbourne town centre.

A consultation into the pedestrianisation of Terminus Road, pedestrian improvements at Memorial Roundabout, and the relocation of part of the town centre ring road began this week (October 14) and will be open until November 20. Feedback will help identify concerns and issues ahead of detailed designs being completed for phase 2b of the Eastbourne Town Centre Improvement Scheme.

Cllr Claire Dowling, East Sussex County Council’s lead member for transport and environment, said: “Our proposals will help create a safer, healthier and thriving town centre and support our efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality. People can now see the positive impact the first phase of the scheme has had in the town and it’s important that we get the public’s feedback on the latest proposals before we progress with the planning process.”
